God

We believe in One true, eternal, living God who has revealed Himself to us and exists eternally in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  God is all knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present.  He has revealed Himself to man as Father in creation by creating the world and all that is in it.  He has revealed Himself to man as Son in redemption by becoming a man and dying on the cross for our sins.  And He has revealed Himself to man as the Holy Spirit in regeneration that is helping us to become more like Him daily.  (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; II Corinthians 5:19; Joel 2:28).

The Scriptures assume and declare that the knowledge of God is universal (Romans 1:19, 21, 28, 32; 2:15).  God is a spirit.  He is invisible, without body or parts, and is therefore free from all limitations (John 4:24, Luke 24:39).

“The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord” – Mark 12:29, Deuteronomy 6:4
“One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all” – Ephesians 4:6

Before God’s appearance in human form, He showed or revealed Himself in various ways.  As flesh, He reveals Himself in the Son, who walked among men (II Timothy 3:16).  As he works in the lives of believers, He reveals Himself as the Holy Spirit.
