General Board of Elders

The General Board of Elders of the Emmanuel Churches of Christ consists of:  Our Presiding Bishop, the Executive Board of Elders, all appointed pastors of local congregations that have complied with all record keeping requirements, and other Ordained Ministers the Presiding Bishop might appoint.  From this General Board of Elders, the Bishop appoints officers and any committees that are deemed necessary for the functioning of the organization.

The General Board of Elders meets on a regular basis during the week of our General Assembly in September of every year, and after the Bi-Annual meeting if a meeting is deemed necessary.

The General Board of Elders operates as the legislative body of the Emmanuel Churches of Christ.  It is the duty of the General Board of Elders to review and amend the By-Laws of the organization as well as the Statement of Faith on a periodic basis.
